Can I commission a bespoke knife?

Yes, you can commission a bespoke kitchen knife. We offer a range of customization options to ensure that you get the perfect knife for your needs. You can choose from a variety of materials, blade shapes, and handle styles. We will work together to create the perfect knife for your kitchen.

How much is a bespoke commission and how do I order?

Bespoke chef knives cost £500, other style will vary. Go to our bespoke page to begin your ordering process.

How do I wash my knife?

NOT in a dishwasher. Please see our knife care page or the instructions inside your knife box.

What is your sustainability ethos?

Our kitchen knives are designed with sustainability in mind. Our knives are made from 95% recycled steel and local suppliers are used to reduce product miles, out products are all made using small scale production methods. The handles are made from recycled materials, FSC certified timber and are designed to last, ensuring product longevity. Our commitment to sustainability helps ensure that our kitchen knives are eco-friendly, and contribute positively to the environment.

Can my ceramics be dishwashed?

Yes, our ceramics mugs can be safely washed in a dishwasher. However, to ensure the longevity of the mug, we recommend handwashing with a soft sponge and mild detergent. For maximum durability, avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Also, stack with care as damages are most likely to come from clumsy storage.

How long do your knives stay sharp?

Our kitchen knives are made with the highest quality materials and are designed to stay sharp for a long time. With proper care and maintenance, honing before every other use, our knives can stay sharp for up to 3 years before being sharpened. Our knives are also designed with a special edge that helps them to stay sharp longer than other brands. If you ever find that your knife is losing its edge, we offer sharpening services to help restore the blade.

What steel do you use?

We primarily use SF100 or Silver Fox 100 also know from its production name of BSM879. A high carbon stainless steel, meaning it has above 0.6% (specifically 0.68%) carbon content but also has the alloy properties to make it a stainless steel. This high precision narrow strip steel is milled, hot rolled and annealed into length which are then laser cut. From time to time we also use speciality steels such as VG10 and AEB-L. Can I see your product before buying?

Yes, you can make an appointment to come and see us at our workshop, we always welcome a chat about what we do. Or come and see us at one of our trade shows or makers markets, we will notify you on our social media platforms when we are doing one of these. You can also see them at our physical resellers, these are listed on our info page.

Delivery & returns

How long will delivery take?

We send all our products next day guaranteed delivery with knives requiring age verification upon delivery.

How long will made-to-order products take to make?

We aim for a lead time of 5-6 weeks, in special circumstances this time might be increased, we will always notify you of any changes to delivery dates.

Will I receive a tracking number?

Yes this will be sent to you in a email once the product has been sent out for postage.

Can I return my products?

All our off-the-shelf products can be returned, made to order product can not. Please see our returns page for more info.

Do you deliver internationally?

Yes, we do offer international delivery on our kitchen knives. Please be aware that there may be additional fees and taxes applied depending on your country of residence. This will usually be a £30 flat rate. Please contact us for more information on our international delivery service.
